At the very least, this is what you should know about me

Leadership occurs to me as a euphemism for character--who you really are in relationship to what you believe. True leadership shows up while facing circumstances that are less than ideal. Your character shines when you've got to step up to the plate and do the out of the ordinary, maybe the extraordinary, to achieve the necessary result.
As a COO, I learned first hand that you can teach skills but you can't teach people character. What you can do is inspire action and ask your team to bring the best version of themselves--have them step up to the plate and swing at the ball with everything they have.

Purpose driven, of course, and...?
Once you dial into acting purposefully, then what? It's an Ethos and this is what expresses purpose everyday.
Authentically Engaged.
I genuinely am engaged in the work that I do, the clients that I serve and the results that I produce—this is a natural expression of who I am. I don't go to work to punch a clock—I go to work to redesign the clock so that it works great for everyone. I'm authentically engaged. It’s how I live.
Fun and Enthusiasm in Earnest.
I like fun. I am fun. Even when I'm working hard, I'm working smart and having fun. I'm enthusiastic about what I do. It’s part of my ethos. Having fun means doing good work and delivering happiness everywhere I show up and I really mean that… earnestly. It’s part of my mission, and purpose and its inside of my promise.
Smart.
Smart doesn’t have to prove itself. It’s not an over inflated ego screaming SMART! Smart acts and delivers solid.
Innovation and Excellence.
I look at innovation as a state of mind not a destination. I'm on the path of solution scaling, a journey that takes me from one innovation to the next. I believe that excellence is a driver that inspires innovation.
Trust, Respect, Integrity.
I respect you, the team and the mission. I hold the relationship that I have with you and your team in esteem. I am trustworthy and operate with integrity.

Everybody Wins.
I'm all for you winning and for me winning. It's 360 degrees of wonderful when this happens. I build relationships, innovations and solutions for the long term. Everybody getting something they want makes for repeatable model of success.
Policy for the Planet
I respect and value the bountiful gifts of nature and promise to operate with respect for the planet. I promise to actively participate in planet positive activities so to reduce the environmental impacts with all that I do.
Storytelling and Trusted Insights
I'm passionate about sharing valuable knowledge and insights. Some say I have a unique way of reaching an audience through axiomatic storytelling and brand evangelism.

Winning in an Age of Relentless Change and Disruption

These mega forces are disrupting how organizations do business and often determine whether they succeed or fail.
Boom! Deciphering Innovation: How Disruption Drives Companies to Transform or Die is a 30,000-foot guide for leaders who need to make sense of the disruptive landscape, the nature of innovation, and the role of leadership in reinventing the future.

A Primer on Understanding and Adapting to Today’s Disruptive Business Environment
The best companies have always found a way to innovate, survive and change to meet the future. In the 21st century where change is coming so quickly that people and institutions are barely able to adapt, it’s important for leaders to understand the sources and impact of disruptive change on their organizations.
Boom! Deciphering Innovation: How Disruption Drives Companies to Transform or Die is a good first step in learning about today’s business landscape and the key questions leaders must answer to prepare themselves and their organizations to excel in this digital world. It is a quick, interesting, and provocative read. I recommend it.

Boom Picks Up Where Academic Books Leave Off

The hard part of innovation is not the ideas, it's not the disruption or the confusion, it's getting people change; to let go and leap into the unknown. You have to have good arguments, but reason alone does not suffice. To get people to make these hard decisions require appealing to both mind and heart, you have to engage the business leaders. That where this book comes in. The reasons are presented in short, almost pithy, elevator pitches. It provides strong emotional and logical reasons to abandon what's safe and take the leap. I have already found myself quoting this book when appealing to people to step outside of their comfort zone.
